India’s largest IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services, has issued an urgent advisory to employees across the Middle East, asking them to remain indoors and avoid non-essential movement. The company has also suspended all incoming and outgoing business travel to and from the region, including transit routes, as multiple countries report airspace closures.
The internal communication, circulated to associates, follows rising geopolitical tensions and significant flight disruptions. Employees have been instructed to strictly adhere to directions issued by local authorities. The company has begun reaching out directly to impacted staff members to ensure their safety.
TCS has activated its country leadership and human resources response teams. A call tree mechanism is being used to contact employees stranded within affected and neighbouring regions. Senior management teams are reportedly in constant touch with associates and their families. The company is also coordinating with local authorities and Indian diplomatic missions to monitor developments closely.
TCS employs more than 9,000 professionals across the Middle East and North Africa region, servicing over 150 clients across multiple industries.
The situation has intensified following coordinated military strikes involving the US and Israel against Iran, and subsequent retaliatory missile and drone attacks targeting strategic locations across the region. Key cities including Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Manama and Riyadh have reportedly experienced disruptions.
Tata Consultancy Services has not issued a public statement so far. The company’s immediate focus remains on employee safety as the regional crisis unfolds.
