Ageas Federal Life Insurance has appointed Yash Sinha as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO), strengthening the insurer’s leadership bench as it sharpens focus on people strategy, organisational agility and workforce transformation. With a career spanning some of India’s leading insurance and financial services organisations, Sinha brings a blend of operational expertise, cultural leadership and strategic HR insight to his new role at Ageas Federal Life Insurance.
With more than 25 years of experience across India’s banking, financial services and insurance landscape, Sinha steps into the role with a strong track record in building high-performance cultures, leading HR transformation programmes and driving employee-engagement initiatives at scale.
Based in Mumbai, he will lead the company’s nationwide people agenda, with a mandate spanning organisational design, digital HR transformation, talent strategy, employee experience and leadership- capability development.
Before joining Ageas Federal Life Insurance, Sinha served as head-corporate human resources, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, where he led enterprise HR strategy, organisational development, leadership capability building and people-transformation initiatives.
Prior to that, he spent nearly nine years at Aditya Birla Insurance Brokers as head HR & admin, overseeing HR operations, administrative leadership, talent development and employee-engagement programmes during an important growth phase for the organisation.
Earlier, at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Sinha worked as joint vice president-HR, where he contributed to strengthening workforce frameworks and organisational-capability initiatives.
He also spent more than a decade with HDFC Life as associate vice president HR. During this long tenure, he built experience across talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, leadership development and organisational effectiveness, shaping his understanding of the evolving insurance landscape.
Known within the BFSI sector for his strategic approach to talent and culture, Sinha is recognised for designing employee- engagement models, strengthening graduate hiring systems and building performance frameworks aligned with business priorities.
Sinha holds a PGDBM in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Management and Research and a diploma in Marketing from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).
