Goodyear India has announced a key HR leadership transition. Vishal Dhingra is set to take over as director-HR for South Asia from 21 April, 2026. The move follows the resignation of Abhishek Arora, whose tenure will conclude on 20 April.
The move marks a shift from a country-specific HR- leadership structure to a broader regional mandate. Dhingra’s expanded role will cover South Asia, including India, signalling an effort to align talent strategy and HR operations across markets.
Arora, who joined the organisation in 2024, brought with him over two decades of HR experience across companies such as Carlsberg India, HJ Heinz, Maruti Suzuki and JCB India. His experience spans supply chain HR, plant HR and industrial relations, having led people functions across manufacturing-heavy environments.
Dhingra, who has over 25 years of experience, is not new to the organisation. He previously served as HR director for India and is currently leading HR for ASEANZ, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Known for his expertise in managing complex transitions, business integrations and cultural transformation, he has worked closely with leadership teams to align people strategy with business performance.
Prior to Goodyear, Dhingra held leadership roles at PepsiCo and GSK, where he led HR strategy across supply chain, R&D and global functions, and drove employee relations and organisation design initiatives across multi-location and unionised setups.
As Dhingra takes on the expanded mandate, the effectiveness of regional HR integration and its impact on talent management and operational stability will be closely watched.
