Havells India has elevated Preemita Singh to the role of president & chief human resources officer (CHRO). Over the past two years, Singh has led Havells’ HR strategy with a sharp focus on aligning talent with business priorities. She has championed meritocracy while fostering an empathetic and collaborative workplace culture.
Singh joined Havells India after heading human resources for Hero Fincorp and its subsidiaries, as chief human resources officer (CHRO) for over four years, as EVP and CHRO. Backed by over 25 years of experience across Indian and global markets, she is widely respected for her clear vision, stakeholder-centric mindset, and strong execution capabilities.
Having begun her professional journey with Thermax in 2000, as HR – management trainee, Singh moved to EY as consultant after a year. More than two years into this role, she again switched. This time, she joined CSC as manager, HR business partner in 2004. By 2008, she had become the head – Marketing Centre of Excellence & Communications.
Singh’s next stop was Max Life Insurance, where she joined as head – organisation and staffing, spanning talent management and acquisition, pan India in 2012.
The year 2015 saw her taking on the role of group HR head, ICRA. She drove the HR transformation agenda for ICRA and its subsidiaries, delivering to the requirements of each business within the Group.
Three years later, in 2018, this alumna of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies accepted the role of CHRO, Hero Fincorp and head – CSR. She essayed this role successfully for over four years.
Singh also holds a master’s degree in Labour Laws and Welfare from Symbiosis Law College.
Known to be a high-energy, action-oriented and balanced HR professional, she possesses excellent communication and analytical skills.
