Jai Talwar has been appointed as the chief talent officer at Rediffusion Solutions. Talwar, who was working as an independent consultant, will now lead the HR function at Rediff as well as its sister concern, Everest.
An alumnus of St Xavier’s College, Kolkata, Talwar who has been associated with the world of advertising for a long time, was not always in the human resources domain. At SmartMedia, he worked as COO back in 2006. At Last Minute Media, he was senior vice president for a year, before he moved on to Business India Publications in 2008, as president – advertising.
Three years later, he was working as senior advisor at India Infrastructure Publishing. There, he handled the sponsorships and media collaborations for the PowerLine Awards and Telecom Operator Awards.
His next stop was Trendsetter Marketing, where he served as national advertising director from 2012 to 2014. Then, it was time for a very short stint with Shobiz Experiential Communications, as national business development director. Seven months later, he was at BW Businessworld Media, as national director (special projects) for more than two and a half years.
In December, 2017, he joined Interactive Trade Solutions as vice president – corporate sales, a position he held for three years and seven months, before moving on to be a part-time director at Quantum Leap Productions.
His checkered career has witnessed him essaying the role of advertising director at Reader’s Digest India for more than eleven years. He has also served as vice president – media marketing, at Zee Network for more than two years, and as marketing manager at Khaleej Times Dubai for two years.
Known to be a well-networked professional, and given his long exposure to the advertising world, Talwar will prove to be an asset to Rediff in his latest role, for which he will be based out of Mumbai.
Rediffusion, the 48-year old Indian independent full-service advertising agency, was recently acquired by Mogae Consultants.
