MGM Muthu Hotels Group, headquartered in Portugal, has appointed Prashant Khullar as its new group chief human resources officer (CHRO). A seasoned HR leader with over two decades of experience across industries such as hospitality, travel, logistics, citizen services, and financial services, Khullar will play a pivotal role in shaping the group’s global people strategy and culture as it expands its footprint worldwide.
In a LinkedIn post, Khullar shared his excitement about joining the group and relocating to Portugal. He expressed his commitment to working closely with the leadership team to drive global business growth and enhance customer experiences across MGM Muthu’s diverse portfolio.
What drew Prashant to MGM Muthu, he said, were its distinctive core values — truth, hard work, integrity, character, and hope — which he found deeply embedded in the organisation’s culture.
Prior to joining MGM Muthu, Khullar was associated with BLS International as its CHRO.
He also held leadership positions at Ecom Express, Axis Max Life Insurance, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts, and Taj Hotels, where he led large-scale transformation and capability-building initiatives. Khullar is an experienced HR leader who brings over two decades of expertise to the table. He’s well-known for his strong interpersonal and communication skills, and streamlining and balancing HR processes to achieve bottom-line results giving organisations a competitive edge.
Khullar began his professional journey in the hospitality industry as a management intern for hotel operations at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts after earning an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research. Now, as he embarks on his first official tour across MGM Muthu’s hotels in Scotland and England, he “looks forward to connecting with teams that have been instrumental in taking the organisation to new heights.”
