    Torrent Pharma appoints Manish Kainth as CHRO

    Manish Kainth has joined Torrent Pharmaceuticals as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). This is a strategic move to strengthen its people leadership during a phase of global expansion and transformation.

    At Torrent Pharma, Kainth will now be responsible for driving the company’s HR strategy, with a focus on enhancing leadership capability and building a culture aligned with performance and innovation. His international exposure and strong understanding of employee-centric practices are expected to play a critical role in aligning the workforce with Torrent’s long-term global goals.

    Bringing over two decades of HR leadership across multiple industries, Kainth’s expertise lies in talent development, organisational change, and building global HR frameworks. His career spans across sectors including pharmaceuticals, FMCG, banking and technology—giving him a wide lens on people management in varied business environments.

    Prior to joining Torrent Pharma, he was associated with Tata Consumer Products for more than ten years. During this time, he held key roles such as senior vice president–HR and led the HR function for the company’s international business based in the UK. He joined the company in the year 2015.

    His earlier stints include impactful positions at leading companies such as GlaxoSmithKline Consumer, HSBC, IBM, Hindustan Unilever and Tata Motors.

    The appointment reflects Torrent Pharmaceuticals’ continued commitment to building a high-performing and future-ready workforce, with HR playing a central role in enabling business success.
