Biodeal Pharmaceuticals has appointed Sanjay Kumar Sharma as its new chief executive officer. He brings more than 32 years of experience in the global healthcare and pharmaceuticals sector.
Prior to this, Sharma was associated with Synokem Pharmaceuticals as its president-international sales and marketing.
Sharma is known for his strong analytical skills, cost-effective decision-making, and framing policies based on market dynamics to identify high-growth therapy areas. His expertise spans collaborations, corporate and product strategy, regulatory planning, product launches, life-cycle management, business development, sales and marketing, operational excellence, commercial and supply-chain processes for biologics, and P&L management.
Over the course of his career, he has held senior leadership roles, including president at Cadila Pharmaceuticals, as well as international representative positions with Ipca Laboratories in Russia and the CIS, and JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals in Ukraine.
Known for combining scientific knowledge with business strategy, Sharma has played a role in expanding therapies in cardiology, neurology, rheumatology, psychiatry, dermatology, and women’s health. He was also instrumental in introducing Sartans, Statins, and SSRIs in India and later expanding their reach globally.
His journey reflects a blend of global exposure and innovation—from learning Russian to launching products in Siberia and the Far East, to establishing robust sales networks across India and overseas.
Sharma holds a BSc from Meerut University.
As per a LinkedIn post, Biodeal looks forward to leveraging Sharma’s vision and focus on patient outcomes to drive innovation, growth, and international expansion.
The appointment signals the company’s commitment to strengthening its leadership as it pursues new opportunities in a competitive global market.
