Navin Fluorine International (NFIL) has appointed Vinod Shetty as chief human resources officer (CHRO), bringing on board a seasoned HR leader with extensive experience across people strategy, organisational transformation, capability building and global HR leadership.
With more than two decades of HR leadership experience across pharmaceuticals, healthcare and manufacturing sectors, Shetty has built expertise across talent strategy, employee engagement, leadership development and cross-market HR operations.
Before joining NFIL, Shetty served as senior director and head of India HR & communication, Teva Pharmaceuticals, where he led HR and communications functions for India operations. In this role, he worked on people strategy and workforce initiatives supporting the organisation’s India business.
Earlier, he spent nearly four years at Sanofi as director – BHR (India MCO), leading HR for pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare and specialty businesses, alongside global support functions across India, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
Prior to Sanofi, Shetty spent over four years with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as VP–HR & global sales training for India, the Middle East and Africa. During this period, he led HR and sales training across multiple geographies and briefly supported HR leadership for Latin America. As part of Glenmark’s global leadership team, he contributed to shaping HR strategies and led major capability-building interventions, including establishing GCAT, a long-term learning academy designed as a continuous development platform.
Earlier in his career, Shetty spent more than eight years at Pfizer as group lead–HR for India and Vietnam, leading regional HR responsibilities and strengthening his experience in managing geographically-diverse workforce structures.
He also held HR leadership responsibilities at Tata Donnelley, where he headed HR for a major manufacturing location in Navi Mumbai. There, he worked extensively on industrial relations, productivity initiatives and employee-engagement programmes, while also helping establish management-trainee programmes aimed at building future talent pipelines.
On the academic front, he holds a PG Diploma in Training and Development from ISTD Delhi, where he graduated with distinction, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Mumbai with a focus on criminal and labour law.
