Lupin has appointed Aditi Altekar as global lead–HR digital and artificial intelligence (AI) transformation, effective August 2026. In her new role, Altekar will lead the pharmaceutical company’s HR technology strategy, digital-transformation initiatives and adoption of AI across the function.

Altekar brings over 18 years of experience spanning HR technology, digital transformation, HR systems implementation and process optimisation. Her career has covered both HR and technology roles, giving her experience in translating business requirements into technology solutions and driving adoption across organisations.

Before joining Lupin, Altekar served as group HR technology lead at Godrej Industries Group from January 2025 to June 2026. In this role, she led enterprise-wide HR digital transformation and technology modernisation initiatives and worked on HR technology strategy across multiple business units.

Prior to Godrej Industries Group, she spent over two years at Zee Entertainment Enterprises as associate director –HR, from November 2022 to January 2025. She was responsible for developing a multi-year HR technology strategy covering employee self-service, automation, security and compliance, while also overseeing the design and implementation of HR solutions.

Altekar previously spent around four years with Stepping Cloud Consulting, where she worked as senior project manager from October 2018 to October 2022. She led end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors implementations for clients, managing requirements, configuration, testing, deployment and post-implementation support. Her client portfolio included organisations such as Tata Motors, Tata Power, Tata Starbucks, Honda 2Wheelers, Minda and Vistra.

Earlier, Altekar was human resources technology lead at Raymond from April 2017 to September 2018. She worked on HRMS upgrades and technology modernisation, while also streamlining HR processes to reduce manual intervention.

She began her HR technology career at Mahindra Group, where she spent six years, from April 2011 to March 2017 as assistant manager – human resources digitisation. Her responsibilities included translating HR requirements into technical specifications and supporting the implementation of HR modules covering performance management, e-separation, talent management, e-recruitment and learning solutions.

Altekar began her professional career as a software developer and analyst at RBS Business Services, where she worked from January 2008 to August 2010 on technology solutions for banking operations. She was involved in Finacle customisation and Oracle-based systems for the RBS Asia-Pacific region.

Currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Digital Leadership from Golden Gate University, Altekar also holds a Professional Diploma in HR Management from Wigan & Leigh College India and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering, University of Mumbai.
