Jyothsana Vasudevan has been appointed president and chief human resources officer at SRF, effective 5 October, 2026, taking charge of the company’s people agenda. She comes with  more than two decades of experience across HR leadership, talent strategy, organisational development and transformation.

Vasudevan brings over 24 years of HR experience spanning manufacturing, consumer durables, energy and oil and gas, technology, finance and shared services, as well as plant operations and supply chain.

She joins SRF from Avaada Electro, where she served as senior vice president–HR, manufacturing from July 2025 to September 2026. At Avaada Electro, she led HR for the solar- manufacturing business during a period of rapid expansion across Noida, Greater Noida, Dadri and Nagpur.

Her mandate included talent attraction and mobility across white-collar and blue-collar workforce segments, redesigning the total rewards strategy, employer branding and culture building, while also developing an HR community focused on professionalism and business outcomes.

Before Avaada Electro, Vasudevan worked as a strategic advisor and fractional CHRO at zeapl.ai, supporting the organisation on talent strategy, culture and capability building as it entered its next phase of growth.

A significant part of her career was spent with Shell, where she worked for nearly 17 years across a series of HR leadership roles covering talent, learning, employee relations, resourcing and supply chain.

Her most recent Shell role was global resourcing manager for India, Malaysia, the Philippines and Poland, which she held from August 2021 to March 2025. In that role, she worked on strategic talent sourcing and capability building across multiple markets. She built a talent sourcing capability in Manila and helped achieve an average external recruitment time-to-fill of 40 days.

She also established VISTA, a framework designed to provide business leaders with external insights on critical skills and talent pools to support decisions around building, borrowing or buying capabilities.

Prior to this, Vasudevan served as country head – employee relations & industrial relations at Shell India. Her responsibilities covered employee relations and industrial relations across factories, offices, fuel retail stations and lubricants businesses.

Earlier, as HR Leader for Lubricants Supply Chain for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, she led the people agenda for more than 1,100 supply chain employees across multiple regions.

Before Shell, Vasudevan spent five years with Whirlpool Corporation, where she held roles in corporate HR and as senior manager – HR. As an HR business partner for IT centre of excellence teams across Asia, she worked with teams in India, Hong Kong, Australia and Shanghai.

Vasudevan holds an MBA in Human Resources Development from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Delhi University.

With experience spanning talent, learning, employee relations, resourcing, manufacturing HR and organisational transformation, Vasudevan now takes on a broader enterprise mandate at SRF as President and CHRO.
