Shivani Hazari has taken on the role of group head – human resources at Jindal Group, expanding her mandate after more than three years with the Group in a senior leadership advisory role.

In her new position, Hazari will lead HR across the Group, which includes Jindal Steel, Jindal Power, Jindal Renewables India, Jindal Panther and Jindal Projects.

She moves into the role after serving as president and group head – leadership advisory at JSP Group Advisory since July 2023. In that position, Hazari was responsible for strengthening leadership talent capability across the Group and supporting its transformation agenda.

Her leadership advisory mandate extended across businesses including steel, power, renewables, mining, green steel, cement and construction solutions, giving her exposure to the Group’s leadership requirements across a diverse industrial portfolio.

Hazari brings more than two decades of experience in leadership hiring and executive search across manufacturing, metals and mining, automotive and engineering, healthcare, consumer, technology, real estate and education.

Before joining the Jindal Group, she spent 11 years with Sheffield Haworth, where she served as managing director – India and led the firm’s India business. During her tenure, she built its capabilities in the country and worked with organisations ranging from venture capital-backed startups to large multinational corporations.

At Sheffield Haworth, Hazari led senior-level executive search and talent-management mandates across industries and geographies. As head of the India business, she also held P&L responsibility across the firm’s Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bengaluru operations and supported the development of its global shared-services function spanning research, data, HR, finance, legal and editorial work.

Alongside her executive career, Hazari served as an independent director at ISGEC between 2019 and 2022.

Prior to Sheffield Haworth, she spent more than six years with EWK International, progressing from managing consultant to principal and eventually director. There, she led executive-search assignments across Asia, with a particular focus on India and the Middle East, covering sectors such as financial services, private equity, education, retail and consumer goods, oil and gas, and industrial businesses.

Earlier in her career, Hazari worked as a consultant with Korn Ferry in Dubai and was part of the Financial Services Practice Group at Egon Zehnder International.

She holds a master’s in Business Economics from Delhi University and a BA (Hons.) in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University.

Hazari’s move into the group head HR role marks a notable transition from advising organisations on senior leadership talent to taking broader ownership of the people agenda herself. Her experience in executive search and leadership advisory, coupled with more than three years of working across Jindal’s businesses, now feeds into a wider Group-level HR mandate.
