Viacom18 is raising the bar for workplace excellence with a groundbreaking approach to employee care and benefits. The media and entertainment giant recently unveiled its ‘Perks Against Mundanity’ programme, a game-inspired initiative offering more than 40 unique perks to its employees.

The programme is designed to turn the traditional benefits experience into an interactive journey. This innovative benefits package caters to a wide range of needs, from health and wellness to diversity and inclusion.

Employees, primarily Gen-Zers and Millennials, explore their perks through a card game that replaces the usual dry, informational handbooks. The game-themed approach offers a playful, engaging way for employees to discover perks that suit their life stage and needs.

Among the notable perks, Viacom18 offers comprehensive wellness support, including access to in-house doctors, nutritionists, gym memberships and annual health checkups. The company also demonstrates its commitment to diversity and inclusion with benefits such as gender-affirming surgery assistance and healthcare plans that include partners.

Additionally, it consists of parenting perks, such as IVF insurance, adoption assistance and a “Baby Bootcamp” for new parents, catering to employees with families. To encourage self-expression, the programme also offers a ‘Tattoo Allowance’.

Viacom18’s focus on empathy and well-being is also reflected in perks such as the ‘Breakup Brightener’, which supports employees going through difficult times, and the ‘Bad Day, Better Vibes’ initiative, offering chocolate boxes or team-building activities to lift the spirits. The company even extends its care to employees’ pets with the ‘Tailwag Fund’, offering discounts on pet care, while plant-loving employees can enjoy special offers on gardening supplies.

By blending creativity with care, Viacom18’s benefits programme not only enhances employee satisfaction but also fosters a strong, collaborative culture. The company’s forward-thinking approach is setting new standards for workplace engagement, ensuring that employees are not only productive but also happy and thriving in their professional lives.
