Domino’s Pizza has announced plans to recruit 5,000 new employees across the UK and Ireland as it prepares for its busiest trading period of the year. The recruitment drive coincides with the company’s 40th anniversary in the UK, marking four decades since it opened its first store in Luton in 1985.
The new roles will cover delivery drivers, in-store staff, and pizza makers, with opportunities spread across Domino’s network of more than 1,300 outlets nationwide. The company said the seasonal hiring push is designed to ensure it can meet heightened demand while maintaining fast service and consistent food quality.
Domino’s has grown into the UK’s largest pizza delivery chain since its arrival, with its brand closely tied to convenience and affordability. The latest recruitment campaign reflects the chain’s focus on scaling up operations during peak times, particularly around autumn and winter when order volumes typically surge.
The move also comes at a time when the hospitality and food-service sectors continue to face worker shortages. Domino’s highlighted that the roles offer flexibility and opportunities for people seeking seasonal employment or part-time work.
As it celebrates 40 years in the UK, the company says its attention remains firmly on expansion and serving more customers nationwide.
