mPokket, an Indian digital- lending platform, has announced plans to create over 5,000 new job opportunities in FY2024-25. This major expansion aims to support the company’s rapid growth while providing employment opportunities.

With a current workforce of over 2,300 employees, mPokket is set to expand its presence in Kolkata and Bengaluru. The hiring will be focused on recruiting talent for roles in fintech, software products and NBFC sectors. Additionally, the hiring will be done for major roles in certain key areas such as technology, product development, data analytics and customer experience.

The hiring drive is part of mPokket’s broader strategy to enhance its services and meet increasing customer demand.

As part of its growth plan, mPokket has also introduced several HR programmes to support diversity, skill development and employee well-being. Initiatives such as flexible work schedules for caregivers, a Micro Masters Programme for continuous learning, and the SkillPokket Reimbursement Programme, which subsidises e-learning courses, are aimed at fostering a dynamic and supportive work environment.

The recruitment push follows mPokket’s recent Rs 500 crore debt capital raise, positioning the company for further expansion in product development and youth-focused career acceleration. With over $2 billion in loans already disbursed, mPokket is poised to strengthen its role in India’s digital-lending landscape, driving both business growth and youth empowerment.

Gaurav Jalan, founder and CEO, mPokket, emphasised that the platform’s mission extends beyond job creation, aiming to create opportunities aligned with the aspirations of young Indians. “At the heart of our mission is youth empowerment and, as we grow, we look forward to welcoming new team members who share our vision and dedication. Together, this will contribute to both our success and India’s broader economic development,” he added.
