Network18 has announced the launch of the NextGen Young Leadership Programme (NYLP), a new initiative aimed at identifying and grooming high-potential young talent from India’s leading business, law and engineering institutions. The programme was unveiled in New Delhi on 23 December and marks a strategic step in strengthening the network’s future talent pipeline.

The NYLP has been designed as an early-career accelerator rather than a conventional entry-level role. It focuses on helping young professionals begin their careers with strong foundations by offering direct exposure to the rapidly-evolving media and technology ecosystem. Participants are expected to start contributing from the outset, gaining real-world insights into how a large, omni-channel media organisation operates.

Targeted at engineering students, management graduates, and media-tech enthusiasts, the programme combines on-the-job learning with structured development. Selected candidates will work on live business and technology-led projects, engage with cross-functional teams across platforms, and understand the dynamics of content, technology and business integration. Mentorship from experienced leaders within Network18 will further support their learning and professional growth.

NYLP positions itself as a long-term career launchpad for young professionals who are keen to innovate, adapt quickly, and make a meaningful impact. The initiative is also expected to help Network18 build deeper relationships with premier universities and create a strong community of future leaders and campus ambassadors.

Speaking on the launch, Sanchayan Paul, CHRO, Network18, said the programme reflects the organisation’s commitment to building a young, diverse and future-ready workforce. “The programme strengthens our commitment to nurturing future-ready talent while creating a community of young professionals and campus ambassadors for our evolving media-tech landscape,” he added.

With this launch, Network18 reinforces its focus on youth, innovation and leadership development, preparing the next generation to thrive in technology-driven news, information, and infotainment businesses.
