Salesforce and the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura, have announced a collaboration to expand access to digital skills and strengthen workforce readiness across the state.
Announced at the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 in Agartala, the initiative aims to reach more than 10,000 learners by 2027. It will use Salesforce’s online learning platform, Trailhead, to provide self-paced learning opportunities to students, youth, government employees and entrepreneurs.
The programme comes as artificial intelligence and digital technologies reshape workplaces, public services and businesses, increasing demand for technology and business skills. Through curated learning paths for beginner and intermediate learners, participants will be able to build capabilities in areas such as customer relationship management (CRM), business analysis and technology fundamentals.
Salesforce will also provide online orientation resources to help participants navigate Trailhead and their learning journeys. The Directorate of Information Technology will identify and mobilise participants through government departments, educational institutions and skill-development agencies, while also driving awareness and access to the programme across the state.
The partnership forms part of Tripura’s wider efforts to build its digital and technology ecosystem. The state is developing the Tripura IT and Data Ecosystem Zone (TIDEZ) in Agartala, along with a planned IT Park and AI Centre of Excellence. It has also expanded its e-Office initiative from the State Secretariat to all three tiers of the Panchayati Raj system in just over a year.

Trailhead offers technology and business learning through bite-sized modules and guided learning paths that learners can complete at their own pace. The collaboration is intended to complement Tripura’s investments in digital infrastructure with industry-relevant skills, helping expand participation in the state’s emerging digital economy.
