HSBC has elevated Udita Agarwal to senior vice president–people business consultant. Agarwal, who has been with HSBC for over seven years, moves into this role after driving several enterprise-wide initiatives across talent development, learning strategy and business-focused culture building.
In her new role, she will focus on building strategic partnerships with business leaders and HR Centres of Excellence to drive organisation-wide growth, culture, and people priorities, while streamlining customer journeys. She will also lead performance and pay review cycles across critical business lines, enabling a more robust pay-for-potential and pay-for-performance framework.
Prior to this, Agarwal served as the SVP & head-talent management at HSBC, leading leadership development, succession planning, capability building for campus and early-career talent, and the integration of emerging digital priorities into learning ecosystems. She joined the company back in 2018 as its assistant vice president-talent acquisition.
Before joining HSBC, she worked with several other companies such as Axis Bank, Welingkar Institute and Atos, gaining foundational exposure to the technology domain.
With over 12 years of experience in HR, Agarwal is passionate about designing experiences that shift mindsets, not just skillsets.
Her appointment reflects the company’s continued focus on strengthening strategic people capabilities and driving business-aligned talent interventions across its operations.
