Kunvarji Group has appointed Bhakti Rana as its group head–human resources, strengthening its leadership bench as the diversified conglomerate sharpens its focus on people strategy, culture building and long-term sustainability. The appointment is effective December 2025 and comes at a time when the Group is aligning its human capital priorities with business expansion, governance needs and organisational maturity across its multiple businesses.

In her new role, Rana will partner closely with the Group’s senior leadership to design and execute people strategies that support growth and operational effectiveness. Her mandate includes building leadership capability, strengthening talent pipelines, deepening organisational culture and creating a consistent employee experience across the group’s entities.

Rana brings over two decades of experience across human resources leadership, business partnering and organisational development. Her career spans large corporates, MSMEs and startups, where she has worked with founders and leadership teams on talent strategy, workforce transformation and scalable HR systems.

Her sectoral experience includes financial services, manufacturing, information technology, education and waste management. Over the years, she has led talent acquisition for a financial services organisation, driven learning and development initiatives in the gems and jewellery sector, and supported emerging enterprises in setting up structured HR processes, performance frameworks and leadership development programmes.

Between December 2024 and December 2025, Rana took a career break that evolved into a phase of strategic capability building. During this period, she worked as chief collaboration strategist with MentorMyBoard, focusing on board-level leadership readiness, community partnerships and mentoring women entrepreneurs and founders.

Beyond corporate roles, she has remained actively engaged with women-led enterprises, micro-entrepreneurs and community initiatives linked to inclusive growth and capability building.

Rana holds a postgraduate qualification in human resources and a Master of Commerce degree. She also has certifications in organisational development and board readiness and is pursuing advanced studies in organisational psychology.

An alumna of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Rana’s expertise lies in aligning human capital strategies with business goals, particularly in startups, MSMEs and emerging organisations where transformation and people-centric growth are essential.  She’s passionate about continuous development and is actively involved in coaching to further enhance her impact in the HR space.

Founded in 1960, Kunvarji Group is headquartered in Ahmedabad and operates across India and overseas. Its businesses span wealth solutions, agri commodities, real estate advisory, merchant banking, technology solutions and insurance broking.

The appointment reflects the group’s intent to position people leadership as a key enabler of sustainable and scalable growth.
