Mukta D Sharma has taken charge as group chief human resources officer (group CHRO) for Asian Energy Services, Oilmax, Anirit and Kuper, effective September 2026. She brings over 17 years of experience in human resources leadership across manufacturing, automotive and project-based businesses, with expertise in aligning people strategy with business priorities and strengthening leadership capability.

Sharma joins the group from Thermax where she served as group HR head from July 2023 to August 2026. During her tenure, she led HR strategy across more than 50 locations, partnering with senior leaders on organisational design, workforce planning and people-related decisions across domestic and international project environments. She also introduced a site-level HR ownership model to improve decision-making and developed competency-based succession frameworks to strengthen leadership continuity.

Before Thermax, Sharma was head-HR & employee relations at Eaton from June 2021 to July 2023. She led HR strategy for a manufacturing business, managing staff, unionised employees and flexible workforce segments. Her responsibilities included workforce planning, succession management, talent reviews and compliance. She also secured a long-term wage settlement aimed at supporting operational stability.

Sharma previously worked at Honeywell as HR leader from October 2018 to June 2021, overseeing end-to-end HR operations, performance-linked evaluation systems, workforce planning and restructuring initiatives. She partnered with business leaders on talent acquisition and integration while ensuring alignment with global HR policies and governance.

Earlier, at CEAT, where she served as HR manager from October 2015 to October 2018, Sharma contributed to the human resources function during a greenfield plant setup. Her work included workforce readiness, training framework development, manpower planning, performance management and employee engagement.

Her earlier career includes roles at TAL Manufacturing Solutions and Mahindra & Mahindra. She also began her HR career at thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel as a human resources generalist.

Sharma holds a master’s degree in Personnel Management, specialising in Human Resources Development, from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the Institute of Engineering & Technology, DAVV, Indore.

Her appointment brings together experience in group-level HR strategy, manufacturing and industrial relations, workforce planning, leadership development, succession management and organisational effectiveness across engineering and industrial businesses.
