    Nivedita Debnath climbs to Sr director role at Avery Dennison

    The talent and learning leader takes on an expanded global mandate after more than 15 years with Avery Dennison, spanning learning, organisational development, talent management and organisational effectiveness

    Nivedita Debnath has been elevated to senior director-global talent management & learning at Avery Dennison, taking on an expanded global- leadership mandate after more than 15 years with the organisation.

    Debnath brings extensive experience across talent management, learning and development, organisational development and organisational effectiveness, having progressively taken on broader responsibilities across regional and global roles at Avery Dennison.

    She moves into the senior director role after serving as global director–talent management & learning since January 2026.

    Earlier, Debnath spent seven years as director – learning and organisational development for Asia Pacific & Sub-Saharan Africa, from August 2016 to August 2023. She had previously served as senior manager – learning & organisational development for the same regions.

    Her journey at Avery Dennison began in 2011 as manager – learning & organisational development, South Asia.

    Before joining Avery Dennison, Debnath worked as a strategy & change consultant at IBM between 2008 and 2010. Her earlier experience includes a stint as an HR consultant with Sri Ram Centre for IR & HR and as an assistant professor at IILM.

    With experience spanning consulting, academia and corporate HR, Debnath’s career has increasingly focused on building talent and organisational capability. Her progression within Avery Dennison reflects a move from regional L&D responsibilities to broader global ownership of talent management, learning and organisational effectiveness.

    Debnath holds a PhD in Business Management from IIT Delhi and a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Business Management from Hanyang University.

    In her new role, she will lead the global talent management and learning agenda at Avery Dennison, building on more than a decade and a half of experience with the organisation across learning, talent and organisational development.
