    Serentica appoints Annapurna J as CHRO

    Serentica Renewables has appointed Annapurna J as its new chief human resources officer. She will be based in Mumbai and report to the group CHRO. The appointment comes as the company continues to scale its operations in India’s fast growing clean- energy sector.

    Annapurna brings over 24 years of experience across conglomerates and high-growth businesses. She has built deep expertise in people strategy, organisational transformation, talent management, and culture integration. Her experience also spans M&A integration, EVP design, succession planning, and digital HR transformation.

    Prior to this, she was associated with Mahindra Group, where she served as head – group talent and diversity & inclusion. She played a key role in strengthening succession governance, integrating leadership pipelines, and advancing diversity initiatives across the organisation.

    Earlier, at Vodafone Idea, she led HR strategy as part of the leadership team, driving post-merger integration, digital HR infrastructure, and large-scale transformation across business units.

    Her career also includes leadership roles at International Paper, IBM India, Broadcom, and HCL Technologies, where she led initiatives across talent strategy, rewards and organisational effectiveness. She has also been engaged in leadership and talent advisory through independent consulting work.

    Commenting on the appointment, Ruhie Pande, G-CHRO & CMO, Serentica, Resonia & Sterlite Electric, said, “We are delighted to welcome Annapurna to Serentica.     Annapurna J herself is “excited to join Serentica at a time when the clean energy sector is reshaping India’s growth story”.

    She is inspired by “Serentica’s vision of enabling industrial decarbonisation through sustainable energy”and is “looking forward to contributing to its journey by building a strong culture, empowering talent, and creating an agile future ready organisation.”

    An alumnus of IIM Calcutta, she holds a PGDM from Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar and a BCom (Hons) from University of Calcutta.
