Despite the uncertainties brought on by the pandemic over the last year and a half almost, IIM Amritsar managed to conclude the academic year 2020-21 on a very promising note, with its fifth MBA batch achieving 100 per cent final placements.
Interestingly, this was the batch with the highest number of students. No international recruiters had participated this year. However, the highest annual package of Rs 18.66 lakhs was offered by a domestic company. The average package for the top quartile of the batch was Rs 15.94 lakh per annum, while the overall average CTC was Rs12.68 lakhs per annum.
In the operations domain, offers came from marketing, sales, finance, analytics and human resources. Offers also came from the Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte and Ernst & Young, for roles in strategy, advisory and consulting.
IIM Amritsar looks forward to collaborating with new firms in the future. Amongst the regulars, big names names such as Tech Mahindra, Cipla, Grant Thornton, Infosys, ICICI Lombard, Anand Rathi, Polycab, Accenture, Xiaomi, Amazon, and Mu Sigma have shown their faith in the talent offered by the Institute again and again. Amongst the first-time recruiters this season were HCL, Gartner and Capital Foods.
The online convocation for the students of the MBA 19-21 batch will be held on May 29.
