Technip Energies has expanded its talent base in India with the onboarding of 280 new trainees across key locations, including Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Dahej. This large-scale hiring drive is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to build a future-ready and diverse workforce to meet growing project demands both within and outside India.
A key highlight of this year’s intake is the strong representation of women. Around 60 per cent of the new trainees are women, reflecting the company’s push for gender diversity in core engineering and project roles. By focusing on inclusivity, Technip Energies is reinforcing its commitment to creating equitable opportunities in technical domains traditionally dominated by men.
The trainees were primarily hired through campus placements from top engineering institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs). This approach underlines the company’s strategy of tapping into young talent from leading academic institutions to power its innovation and delivery goals.
“At Technip Energies, our commitment is not just hiring talent but also shaping a workforce that mirrors the future we want to build—diverse, driven and ready to lead,” said Judy Manjlekar, director-people and culture – India and APAC, Technip Energies.
This onboarding comes at a time of significant expansion for Technip Energies in India. The company recently inaugurated a new operating office at GIFT City in Ahmedabad and launched a state-of-the-art Research & Innovation Centre at IITM Research Park in Chennai. These developments are expected to enhance both domestic capabilities and global project support.
Technip Energies continues to invest in structured learning programmes to nurture and grow talent. Its collaboration with academic institutions further supports its mission to accelerate the energy transition through knowledge sharing and innovation.
