    Apex Group promotes Prabhu Sundaresan to director – HR

    Prabhu Sundaresan has been promoted to director – human resources, Apex Group, recognising his contributions to people transformation, organisational effectiveness and HR leadership across the global financial services organisation. In his new role, Sundaresan will continue to drive strategic people initiatives with a focus on organisational effectiveness, talent management, digital HR transformation and leadership partnership across the company’s India operations.

    Prior to this elevation, he served as regional head-HR, India, Apex Group, where he partnered with India and global leadership teams to align people strategy with business priorities across nine locations. He led initiatives spanning organisational design, M&A HR integration, talent and performance management, payroll governance and policy harmonisation.

    He also played a key role in Apex Group’s digital transformation journey, contributing to the implementation of Workday and supporting enterprise-wide HR modernisation efforts. In addition, he oversaw payroll operations for more than 4,000 employees across multiple entities in India, while driving process standardisation and compliance excellence.

    Before joining Apex Group in 2022, Sundaresan spent more than 12 years with BNP Paribas, holding several senior HR leadership roles across India and Europe. As head-learning & development – EMEA, based in Paris, he led a team supporting more than 18,000 employees across EMEA and the US, spearheading learning- transformation initiatives and implementing a unified learning management system.

    Earlier, as head – human resources, BNP Paribas India, he advised senior leaders on people strategy, led HR integration following acquisitions, and drove the implementation of HR technologies including Taleo, PeopleSoft and Cornerstone.

    His professional journey also includes leadership roles at Citigroup, where he supported the Corporate and Investment Banking business, as well as earlier assignments with Slashsupport India, SolutionNET and Maars Software International.

    With over 23 years of experience, including more than a decade in executive HR leadership roles, Sundaresan has built expertise across talent strategy, organisational transformation, HR technology, succession planning, governance and workforce optimisation. His promotion reflects Apex Group’s focus on strengthening leadership capability and advancing its people agenda to support long-term business growth.
