Generac has appointed Chandreyi Das Sharma as regional HR – APAC, bringing in a human resources professional with over 17 years of experience across talent acquisition, strategic HR business partnering, workforce planning and HR transformation.

Sharma took up the role in September 2026. She joins Generac from Tega Industries, where she served as head – talent acquisition and HR business partner from October 2022 to September 2026.

At Tega Industries, she led global and pan-India talent acquisition, including senior leadership hiring, campus recruitment and workforce planning. Her responsibilities also included managing the company’s HR business partnering function for a large business unit, supporting organisational restructuring and internal talent movements. She also served as project manager for the implementation of Darwinbox, driving the automation and streamlining of HR processes.

Before Tega Industries, Sharma spent over eight years at M N Dastur & Co., progressing from deputy manager – HR, a role she held from July 2014 to September 2018, to manager – HR, from October 2018 to October 2022.

During her tenure, she handled talent acquisition, onboarding, employee lifecycle management, performance management, employee engagement and HR operations. She also led HR automation initiatives involving Oracle PeopleSoft and ZingHR, covering processes such as recruitment, attendance, leave management, onboarding and employee separations.

Sharma began her career with Adecco as a trainee in September 2009 and subsequently worked as a specialist at Randstad India from July 2010 to June 2014, building an early foundation in recruitment and workforce solutions.

Her experience spans talent strategy, HR technology implementation, organisational development and workforce planning, with a focus on aligning people processes with business requirements.

Sharma graduated in Political Science, History and Economics from Presidency University, Kolkata, from where she completed her degree in 2007.
