E-commerce platform Myntra has announced the creation of over 11,000 jobs through its partner network ahead of its flagship Big Fashion Festival (BFF). The fresh hiring aims to strengthen operations as the company braces for a sharp rise in festive shopping demand.
The new roles span logistics, customer service and last-mile delivery. Warehouses in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi will see additional manpower handling sorting, packing, and grading tasks. Notably, around 30 per cent of this temporary workforce will be women, underscoring Myntra’s focus on inclusivity.
The bulk of the new hiring includes nearly 7,000 delivery partners and 1,400 customer-support executives. These additions will ensure smooth doorstep service and faster query resolution during the peak shopping period. Myntra is also banking on its supply- chain backbone, which combines large distribution centres with the Kirana-led Myntra Extended Network for Service Augmentation (MENSA). This network already covers 98 per cent of serviceable pincodes across India.
Myntra has also tapped into local communities and stationed migrant workers to stabilise its festive workforce. This approach, the company says, helps create opportunities at the regional level while ensuring operational continuity during the surge.
Speaking on the announcement, Govindraj MK, chief human resources officer, Myntra, said the festival is not just about fashion and lifestyle deals but also about creating meaningful employment. “By bringing more women into our warehouses and empowering thousands through these roles, we are ensuring inclusivity while meeting customer expectations at scale,” he said.
This year’s Big Fashion Festival is expected to be Myntra’s biggest yet, featuring over 10,000 brands and more than 4 million styles for its 70 million-plus monthly users.
