SAP has agreed to acquire TechWolf, an AI-powered work-intelligence platform, in a move that will strengthen skills mapping, workforce planning and talent-management capabilities within its SAP SuccessFactors portfolio.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
TechWolf’s technology provides organisations with a continuously updated view of employee skills and work activities by analysing how work is performed, the skills available within an organisation and external labour market information. SAP plans to integrate these capabilities with its existing HR technologies to give organisations greater visibility into their workforce and skills needs.
The combined platform is expected to support areas including skills mapping, workforce planning, internal mobility, reskilling, organisational redesign and talent deployment. SAP said the technology will help HR and business leaders use skills and work data to make workforce decisions as organisations adapt to changing job requirements and the growing use of AI.
The acquisition will also expand SAP’s AI capabilities across workforce management. The company plans to jointly develop AI-powered solutions focused on workforce and skills optimisation following the completion of the transaction.
SAP and TechWolf already have an existing relationship through customer engagements, with the acquisition building on that partnership. TechWolf’s platform can operate alongside existing HR and business systems, including both SAP and non-SAP environments.
TechWolf’s platform is also expected to remain available to both SAP and non-SAP customers after the acquisition.
