Manish Puri has been elevated as head–global sales, Air India Group. In this role, he will oversee the consolidated sales function across domestic and international markets. Puri joined Air India in 2023 as its head-sales.

His elevation comes as the Group announced the integration of the sales teams of Air India and Air India Express under a unified framework aimed at enhancing business efficiency, simplifying operations, and strengthening engagement with the travel trade community. The move is aimed at streamlining trade partnerships and offering a consistent experience for stakeholders.

Prior to Air India, Puri was associated with InterGlobe for over 16 years as its VP-sales. He joined the company in the year 2006.

Commenting on the development, Nipun Aggarwal, chief commercial officer, Air India, said, “The integration of Air India and Air India Express sales teams marks a significant development in our journey to simplify operations and deliver greater value to our partners. With the unified approach, it will be seamless for our trade partners to have a single point of contact for Air India Group. Our focus will be on deepening relationships across all markets and expanding our reach with unmatched efficiency.”

The integration reinforces Air India Group’s commitment to building a stronger, more agile commercial organisation. By aligning resources, the Group seeks to deliver a consistent and unified experience to its trade and travel partners, further consolidating its position as India’s leading airline network.
