Airbus has appointed Reem Algasim as its new head-human resources for Saudi Arabia. The move underscores the company’s focus on workforce transformation and leadership excellence in the Kingdom.

In her new role, Algasim will lead the HR function for Airbus’ Defence and Space Division, overseeing people strategy, organisational development, and cultural initiatives aimed at strengthening the company’s regional footprint.

With over 15 years of international and regional experience, Algasim brings a diverse background spanning talent management, cultural transformation, and leadership development. Being a cross-functional leader with multi-cultural experience, she has led HR efforts internationally with diverse groups of stakeholders, media, and clients.

Before joining Airbus, she served as head-HR at Signify Saudi Arabia, where she was part of the executive team driving HR transformation, performance culture, and an enhanced Employee Value Proposition (EVP) across the Middle East.

Prior to that, she spent nearly five years at Schneider Electric as MEA regional HR lead for the Secure Power Division. In this role, she managed people strategies across six clusters. She has also held leadership roles at Renault Trucks, OVHcloud, and Bedard Resources in Europe and Canada, contributing to her broad global HR perspective.

As per her social-media post, Algasim is an excellent communicator with the ability to speak Arabic, English, French and Spanish.

Her appointment reflects Airbus’ ongoing commitment to building a diverse, inclusive, and future-ready workforce in Saudi Arabia. She is expected to play a key role in developing local talent, fostering inclusion, and aligning Airbus’s Defence and Space operations with the Kingdom’s broader vision for industrial and human capital development.
