Ather Energy has appointed senior HR leader Surabhi Loshali as its new chief human resources officer, reinforcing the company’s focus on people, culture, and long-term organisational capability as it scales in the electric mobility space.

In this new role, Loshali will oversee the entire HR and administration portfolio. Her responsibilities will include talent acquisition, leadership and capability development, organisation structure, employee experience, diversity and inclusion, HR technology, and data-driven people practices. A key part of her mandate will be to support Ather’s next phase of growth while retaining its engineering-driven, high-performance culture.

Loshali brings over two decades of experience in human resources leadership. Her expertise spans people strategy, talent management, organisation design, large-scale transformation, people analytics, and culture building. Over the years, she has worked across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, manufacturing, technology, and financial services, giving her exposure to both innovation-led and operations-heavy environments.

Before joining Ather Energy, Loshali was associated with Strides Pharma as its group chief human resources officer. In this role, she led global people initiatives across multiple geographies, supporting business growth, leadership development, and workforce transformation in a complex, multinational setup. Loshali joined Strides in 2020 as its VP-HR.

Loshali has also worked with several other companies such as Aon and Grant Thorton. With professional experience across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, she is known for aligning people strategies closely with business outcomes.

Am alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur, Loshali holds a bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science and Chemical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering.
