BlackRock has appointed Dipeeka Walvatkar Pendurkar as vice president – human resources, employee relations for the APAC region, strengthening its leadership focus on workplace governance and employee experience across key markets. In her new role, Pendurkar will lead employee relations across APAC, managing complex and high-risk workplace matters while ensuring alignment with global frameworks and local regulatory requirements.

Her mandate includes driving fair and consistent outcomes in areas such as workplace investigations, policy interpretation, disciplinary actions, and organisational change, while partnering closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and HR operations.

Pendurkar brings over 13 years of HR experience across India and APAC, with deep expertise in employee relations, HR operations, shared services, compliance, and benefits. She is known for building structured, people-centric workplaces while balancing governance and employee experience.

Prior to joining BlackRock, she was associated with ByteDance as HR operations leader, where she led India HR operations efficiency and employee- experience initiatives, along with APAC HR services. She also served as Chairperson of the Internal Complaints Committee (POSH), driving compliance and workplace standards while leading cross-border HR programmes and digital- transformation initiatives.

Earlier, she spent close to four years at Amazon in HR services leadership roles, where she contributed to building employee relations frameworks, enhancing onboarding and engagement processes, and driving operational excellence. She began her career with BNY Mellon, gaining foundational experience in HR operations and employee-lifecycle management.

A certified POSH Investigator and Presiding Officer, Pendurkar is recognised for her ability to manage sensitive employee matters with balanced judgment, empathy, and credibility. Her approach combines strong governance with a people-first mindset, enabling inclusive, high-trust, and high-performance work environments.

Her appointment reflects a broader industry emphasis on strengthening employee- relations frameworks as organisations navigate complex regulatory environments, cross-border operations, and evolving workforce expectations.
