Deloitte India has appointed Pankaj Dhawan as executive director-human capital, marking a significant leadership addition to its consulting practice. Dhawan announced the move through a LinkedIn post, saying that he is “happy to share” the start of his new role at Deloitte India after a long stint with Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting business.
In his post, Dhawan expresses gratitude to Accenture’s leadership and colleagues for their support and mentorship during his tenure, while also thanking Deloitte leaders for the warm welcome as he begins the next phase of his consulting journey.
Dhawan joins Deloitte after spending nearly 14 years at Accenture, where he held multiple leadership positions across the human capital and strategy & consulting practice. Most recently, he served as senior manager, a role he held for seven years. Prior to that, he worked as manager and earlier as management consultant, advising organisations on transformation, strategy and people-related initiatives.
Before joining Accenture, he worked with IBM Consulting as a consultant in strategy & change consulting, where he focused on business transformation and organisational change programmes.
Earlier in his career, Dhawan also worked with Tata Consultancy Services in business development and sales roles, building early experience across consulting and client- engagement functions.
With close to two decades of professional experience, Dhawan brings expertise spanning human capital transformation, strategy consulting, organisational change and business advisory. His appointment comes at a time when consulting firms are seeing growing demand for workforce transformation, leadership capability building and AI-enabled operating models.
He holds a PGDM in Information Technology from Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology.
