Digital learning company Magic EdTech has appointed Runu Jain as its chief human resources officer, strengthening its leadership team as the organisation accelerates global expansion and deepens its focus on AI-led education services.
The New York–headquartered firm said Jain will oversee its global people strategy, spanning talent development, organisational design and culture across operations in the US, India, the UK and other key markets. Her mandate includes aligning workforce priorities with Magic EdTech’s growth ambitions at the intersection of technology, learning and social impact.
In her new role, Jain will work closely with the executive leadership team to build a robust global talent pipeline, deepen leadership bench strength and advance inclusion and engagement initiatives. A key part of her remit will be ensuring that people practices evolve in step with the company’s strategic priorities in AI, accessibility and digital- learning innovation.
Jain brings over 25 years of experience in human resources leadership, having held senior roles at Birlasoft, IBM, Genpact, Federal Express, Amway and RPG Enterprises. Her career spans workforce planning, leadership capability building, employee engagement and steering people strategy during periods of large-scale organisational and business transformation across technology and services-led organisations.
At Magic EdTech, Jain is leading the Talent Magnet initiative, a global effort aimed at building a purpose-driven workforce aligned with the company’s mission of advancing global literacy. Central to this approach is the adoption of an ‘AI All-In’ culture, which focuses on enabling employees to exercise human judgement, creativity and accountability alongside advanced technology. The company says this approach has supported stronger business outcomes and learning impact for global clients, including leading universities and education publishers.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Jain’s people philosophy places strong emphasis on long-term capability building over short-term hiring urgency. Her focus areas include nurturing talent with intent, strengthening leadership accountability, embedding diversity of thought into everyday decision-making, and ensuring career growth is built on transparency, dignity and sustained learning. She is also closely involved in shaping leadership behaviours that balance empathy with execution in a fast-scaling, global environment.
The leadership move coincides with Magic EdTech completing 35 years in the digital learning space.
