MGM Muthu Hotels has appointed Megha Baluja as director–human resources (global), strengthening its leadership team as the hospitality group sharpens its focus on people strategy, culture and capability building across geographies.
In her new role, Baluja will lead the global HR agenda for MGM Muthu Group, with responsibility for aligning people practices to business priorities across markets. Her mandate will span culture transformation, talent management, leadership development and building consistent people processes to support the group’s international operations and growth plans.
Baluja brings with her extensive experience across diverse sectors, including hospitality, insurance, skilling, global mobility services and workforce solutions. Prior to this appointment, she served as head–global HR, talent management and culture, BLS International, where she worked on enterprise-wide talent strategies and cultural integration across regions.
She has also held leadership roles at Axis Max Life Insurance and Max Skill First, where she was closely involved in driving organisation-wide culture transformation, employee- engagement initiatives and leadership capability building. Her work in these roles contributed to strengthening internal talent pipelines, succession planning and positioning organisations as employers of choice.
Earlier in her career, Baluja worked with Quess Corp, handling regional HR leadership and large workforce management. She began her professional journey with Infosys as a system engineer, gaining a strong grounding in technology-led environments. This combination of technology and people leadership has shaped her approach to building scalable, business-aligned HR frameworks.
Known for linking people practices with measurable business outcomes, Baluja has consistently focused on embedding purpose, values and accountability across core HR processes such as hiring, learning, recognition and engagement. She has also led change- management initiatives centred on defining and institutionalising organisational vision, mission and values.
Baluja holds an MBA in Human Resources and a BTech in Information Technology. Her appointment reflects MGM Muthu Hotels’ intent to strengthen its global people leadership as it continues to expand its footprint and build a unified culture across regions.
