    MP Birla Group appoints Manoj Tiwari as VP-HR

    MP Birla Group has appointed Manoj Tiwari as vice president – human resources, bringing over 17 years of experience in human resources leadership across manufacturing and industrial organisations. In his new role, Tiwari will support the group’s people agenda across its diversified businesses, with a focus on strengthening HR strategy, leadership capability, workforce effectiveness and organisational development.

    Prior to joining MP Birla Group, Tiwari served as chief human resources officer at Best Value Chem (Wipro Group), where he led corporate HR, workforce transformation and people strategy initiatives across multi-plant operations.

    Before joining Best Value Chem, Tiwari was associated with Polycab India, where he served as senior general manager and head HR from April 2024 to November 2025. He had earlier taken charge as general manager – head HR Manufacturing at Polycab in April 2023, leading HR operations for manufacturing environments, including talent development, employee relations, competency mapping, HR policies and engagement initiatives.

    Prior to Polycab, Tiwari spent over seven years at TOTO India Industries, where he moved through multiple HR leadership roles. He served as head HR (Corporate & Plant) from April 2021 to October 2022, managing HR and industrial relations responsibilities, including talent development, organisational development, workforce planning, labour relations and employee engagement.

    He had earlier held the role of manager HR (Corporate & Plant) at TOTO India from April 2018 to March 2021 and deputy manager HR & IR from October 2015 to March 2018, handling areas such as recruitment, training and development, statutory compliance, compensation management, contract labour management and disciplinary processes.

    Tiwari began his HR career in manufacturing organisations, including Ratnamani Metals & Tubes, Asian Granito India, Man Industries and Astron Paper & Board Mill, gaining experience in plant HR, industrial relations, labour compliance and workforce management.

    Throughout his career, Tiwari has built expertise across HR strategy, industrial relations, talent management, succession planning, organisational design, leadership development, workforce planning and HR transformation. He has partnered with business leaders to drive workforce productivity, strengthen leadership pipelines and enable culture transformation across complex manufacturing environments.

    An alumnus of IIM Raipur, Tiwari has completed the Senior Executive Development Programme in Building CHROs at XLRI Jamshedpur. He also holds a postgraduate qualification in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Annamalai University.

    His appointment adds another senior HR leader to MP Birla Group’s leadership team as the organisation continues to focus on evolving workforce needs, talent development and building future-ready people practices across its businesses.
