Jindal Steel has appointed Sukhjit S. Pasricha as president & head – human resources, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to advance its growth and manufacturing ambitions.
Pasricha brings over 30 years of experience in corporate and business HR across the manufacturing, aviation, telecom, and BFSI sectors. His expertise spans HR strategy, organisational capability, HR transformation, talent management, change management, HR technology, productivity improvement, and business partnering across both B2B and B2C organisations.
Prior to joining Jindal Steel, Pasricha served as group chief human resources officer at IndiGo for nearly four years. During his second stint with the airline, he led the people strategy through a period of fleet expansion, international growth, and post-pandemic scaling. Earlier, he had served as head – HR & administration at IndiGo for almost five years (2013-2018), where he helped build the airline’s talent systems during its rapid growth phase.
Between his two tenures at IndiGo, Pasricha was group CHRO (president – HR) at Kotak Mahindra Bank for over three years (2019-2022), leading the bank’s people agenda. Before that, he served as Chief – HR & Administration at Bajaj Finance for over a year, overseeing HR strategy and organisational development.
Earlier, Pasricha spent nearly 13 years with the Bharti Airtel Group, holding several senior HR leadership roles in India and Africa. Prior to that, he served as CHRO – Enterprise Services Business and CHRO – North Region Mobile Business, leading HR strategy for key business verticals. He had also earlier served as Head – HR for Airtel’s enterprise services business.
He began his HR career with the Vardhman Group, before moving to Spice Communications, where he spent six years as Head – HR for the Punjab Circle.
With experience spanning 15 years in telecom, nine years in aviation, five years in BFSI, and now transitioning to manufacturing, Pasricha has built deep expertise in aligning HR strategy with business transformation and driving organisational capability across complex, multi-location businesses.
