Bata India has appointed Sudakshina Ghosh as its new vice president – human resources. The move comes as part of a broader leadership transition set to take effect in May, 2026.
Ghosh is expected to join on or before 25 May, 2026, subject to completion of joining formalities. Her appointment is aimed at strengthening the company’s HR leadership as it continues to align people strategy with long-term business growth.
She brings over 18 years of experience in human resources, with a strong track record in driving organisational transformation, talent management, and culture-building initiatives. Most recently, she served as country HR head for Vietnam, GSK, where she led HR operations and people strategy in an international market.
Prior to this, she held key roles within the GSK India business, including leading HR for the established pharmaceuticals segment and serving as interim HR head during a period of organisational transformation. Her experience includes managing large teams and supporting business functions across a workforce of over 3,000 employees.
Earlier in her career, Ghosh spent more than a decade with Asian Paints, where she held multiple leadership roles across talent management, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and HR for sales and marketing. She also led HR for international operations across multiple countries, gaining extensive global exposure.
Her expertise spans succession planning, rewards strategy, organisation development, and HR integration during mergers and acquisitions. She is known for building high-performance and inclusive teams aligned with business priorities.
Ghosh holds an MBA in Human Resources from Management Development Institute Gurgaon and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from St Thomas Institute of Technology.
