    Anushree Singh exits JSW Energy as CHRO

    Anushree Singh has stepped down as chief human resources officer at JSW Energy, effective 31 August, 2026, as she moves on to pursue career opportunities outside the JSW Group. The company disclosed Singh’s departure in a regulatory filing, stating that she has ceased to be a senior management personnel with effect from the close of business hours on 31 August.

    Singh had joined JSW Energy as CHRO in October 2024 and was based in Mumbai. She brought nearly two decades of HR leadership experience to the role, with expertise in strategic HR, large-scale transformation, leadership development, employee engagement, workforce planning, and HR governance.

    Before joining JSW Energy, Singh was global HR director – aftermarket business and *global finance, Solutions Group* at Avery Dennison in the Netherlands from January 2023 to September 2024.

    She had earlier spent over five years across HR leadership roles at Avery Dennison. From April 2017 to June 2019, she served as CHRO, Label and Graphic Materials, South Asia, after which she moved to AkzoNobel as CHRO, India Subcontinent, in July 2019.

    During her tenure at AkzoNobel, Singh also served as global project manager – EVP, working with the global HR leadership team and executive committee members to define and embed the company’s employee value proposition across people practices and processes.

    Earlier in her career, Singh held HR roles with the Aditya Birla Group’s Pulp & Fibre business, Aircel, Xerox and Standard Chartered Investments and Loans.

    At JSW Energy, Singh’s mandate included building a future-ready organisation, driving leadership development, refining HR policies and strengthening compliance and governance frameworks, while aligning people strategy with the company’s growth agenda.

    In her resignation letter addressed to Sharad Mahendra, JMD & CEO, Singh expressed gratitude to the Board and leadership team for their support during her tenure and committed to ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities during her notice period.

    JSW Energy said it is currently in the process of appointing a new head – human resource and will communicate details of the appointment to the stock exchanges in due course.

    The regulatory disclosure was signed by Monica Chopra, Company Secretary, on September 1, 2026.
