Jindal Stainless has partnered with Nasscom’s FutureSkills Prime (FSP) to give employees access to courses and certification programmes in emerging technologies and digital skills.

The initiative comes as the steelmaker expands the use of digital technologies across its manufacturing and business operations, including through its Smart Factory 4.0 programme at its Hisar and Jajpur facilities.

Through FutureSkills Prime, employees will be able to take courses covering artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain and digital leadership. Eligible programmes will also offer assessments and certifications validated by SSC Nasscom.

The platform offers learning at different levels, from foundational digital skills to advanced technology programmes. Employees can choose from self-paced courses, instructor-led programmes and shorter learning modules based on their existing capabilities and development needs.

Jindal Stainless will also have a dedicated learning group on the platform to encourage participation and make the programmes available across its workforce.

“For an organisation, staying ahead depends not only on adopting new technologies, but also on continually building the capabilities to use them effectively,” said Abhyuday Jindal, managing director, Jindal Stainless. “We believe learning and upskilling must be an ongoing part of professional development, enabling our people to adapt and contribute to the organisation’s evolving needs.”

The partnership connects employee skilling more closely with the company’s broader technology transformation. Jindal Stainless is implementing digital manufacturing platforms and production planning and scheduling solutions as part of its Smart Factory 4.0 programme at Hisar and Jajpur.

“Through FutureSkills Prime, our employees can choose from a range of programmes, from foundational digital skills to advanced courses, and pursue recognised certifications at their own pace,” said Sushil Baveja, CHRO, Jindal Stainless. “The platform gives us a scalable way to facilitate continuous learning across the workforce, while enabling employees to take greater ownership of their professional development.”

The initiative is intended to build digital capabilities within the existing workforce as technology becomes more deeply embedded in the company’s manufacturing and business processes.
