Her expanded responsibilities include shaping people strategy, strengthening leadership effectiveness, driving culture transformation and preparing the workforce for the evolving needs of a global pharmaceutical business.
Before joining Strides, Matiyani served as vice president – people and culture at RateGain from June 2023 to September 2025. She led the people and culture charter for the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region, alongside corporate HR.

Matiyani spent over seven years at Wipro, from October 2013 to December 2020, serving as vice president and global HR business partner across its technology, infrastructure services, and global media and telecom businesses. She handled HR business partnering for business units with revenues ranging from $1 billion to $2.4 billion and employee populations of 6,000 to 23,000.
During this period, she worked on reducing attrition among critical talent, improving employee satisfaction and strengthening leadership alignment. She also helped reduce lateral hiring for niche skills by half, generating multi-million-dollar savings over 12 to 18 months.
Earlier, Matiyani served as vice president and global head of HR at OnMobile Global from August 2011 to August 2013. She led the company’s global HR function, overseeing talent acquisition, leadership hiring, compensation and benefits, talent management, performance management, learning and development, and HR automation. Her responsibilities included integrating two acquired French businesses and recruiting senior leaders for international roles.
Before this, she spent over six years at Wipro as general manager – human resources and head of group HR, overseeing HR functions for the company’s India and Middle East businesses. She also led a programme of nine HR transformation projects.
During her tenure, employee turnover fell from 27 per cent to 14 per cent, while employee and customer satisfaction scores increased by more than 10 per cent.
Matiyani brings experience in global HR business partnering, leadership succession, workforce planning, organisational change and HR technology.
She holds a Diploma in International Business from the Symbiosis Institute of International Business.
In her new role, she will work with Strides’ leadership team to align people strategy with the company’s global business priorities and strengthen organisational capabilities across its international operations.
