Waaree Energies, an Indian solar PV module manufacturer, has appointed Aniruddha Khekale as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). This appointment is aimed at bolstering the company’s growth and reinforcing its commitment to a people-centric work culture.
As CHRO, Khekale will be responsible for steering the company’s human-resource strategies, overseeing digital transformation initiatives, managing talent programmes and enhancing employee engagement. Additionally, his leadership is anticipated to align workforce capabilities with the company’s goals, promoting a culture of innovation and high performance.
Prior to this, Khekale was associated with Adani Electricity as its SVP & head-HR. He joined the company in the year 2023 and headed HR for Adani Electricity comprising of power generation, transmission and distribution.
He has also worked with many other renowned brands such as CG Power, Emerson Automation, Danaher and Cummins India.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Khekale began his career in 1992 as an HR officer at Birla Kennametal. In the year 1993, he joined Patheja Forgings as an HR officer. His key responsibilities at Patheja included, unit level manpower planning, recruitment, PMS, payroll, statutory compliance, employee grievances, IR and training.
His next stop was Varroc Group, where he spent over ten years as its group-HR. He joined the company in the year 1995.
Khekale brings extensive experience in human- resource management, business transformation and fostering a culture of excellence. Throughout his career, he has successfully led HR functions across various sectors, driving organisational change, leadership development and strategic HR initiatives.
