Graphite India has appointed Dhaval Morparia as senior vice president & chief human resources officer (CHRO), strengthening its leadership team. Morparia, in his new role, will lead the company’s people strategy, with a focus on talent management, leadership development, organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and building a high-performance culture aligned with Graphite India’s long-term growth plans.
Morparia joins Graphite India from Livguard Drivetrain, where he served as head HR for over three years (February 2023–June 2026). Heading HR, industrial relations, and compliance for the electric vehicle component manufacturing business, he partnered closely with the CEO to integrate multiple acquired businesses and joint ventures under a unified organisational framework. During his tenure, he played a key role in establishing three new manufacturing plants and three R&D centres, strengthening organisational capability, implementing competency-based talent frameworks, introducing key talent and sales incentive programmes.
Prior to Livguard, Morparia spent four years (April 2019–March 2023) as general manager – human resources, Tata Play, where he headed several HR centres of excellence, including compensation and benefits, performance management, HR technology, learning and development, talent management, HR operations, policies, and budgeting.
Earlier, he served as section head – talent management, rewards, policies and performance management, Suzuki Motor Gujarat for nearly four years (July 2015–March 2019). In this role, he designed compensation frameworks for more than 4,000 white- and blue-collar employees, developed the company’s performance management system, and led talent management and policy initiatives for the organisation.
Before moving into corporate HR leadership, Morparia spent over two and a half years (December 2012–July 2015) as senior consultant, Cerebrus Consultants. He also worked as an HR business partner, Infosys for over a year (September 2011–December 2012), where he supported a business unit of more than 600 employees and led employee engagement, performance management, promotions, grievance handling, and HR analytics initiatives.
Earlier, Morparia spent over two and a half years (February 2009–September 2011) with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles as senior manager–HR.
He began his leadership journey at Ashok Leyland, serving as deputy manager – HR for nearly two years (May 2007–February 2009), where he focused on training and development, employee welfare, and plant HR initiatives.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Morparia comes with nearly two decades of experience across manufacturing, automotive, media, consulting, technology, and consumer businesses.
