Tata-Robins-Fraser (TRF) has appointed Shubhra Singh as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective 15 September, 2026. She succeeds Abhijeet Singh, who has moved to another assignment within the Tata Steel Group. In her new role, Singh will lead TRF’s human resources function and oversee its people and organisational priorities.
Singh brings over 19 years of experience with Tata Steel, with expertise spanning HR strategy, business partnering, industrial relations, people process improvement, change management and total quality management in HR.
She has been with Tata Steel since 2007 and currently serves as head- HR business partner. Prior to taking on the role in January 2023, she was senior manager – HRBP for nearly six years. She had earlier served as senior manager – HRM from 2012 to 2017 and began her Tata Steel career as manager – HR in 2007.
Her appointment comes as part of a leadership transition at TRF.
According to a regulatory filing, Abhijeet Singh ceased to be CHRO on 15 September after taking up another assignment within the Tata Steel Group. The company has not disclosed details of his new role.
Singh’s elevation also reflects the movement of senior HR talent within the Tata Steel Group, with TRF bringing in an experienced Tata Steel HR leader to steer its people agenda.
