CarTrade Tech, an Indian online automotive marketplace for buying and selling new and used vehicles, has appointed Gaurav Sirohi as its new group chief human resources officer, adding an experienced HR and transformation leader to its executive team as the company continues expanding its automotive technology and marketplace operations. In his new role, he will oversee people strategy, talent management and organisational development across CarTrade Tech’s multi-brand automotive platform ecosystem.

The company operates several automotive platforms and services including CarWale, CarTrade, Shriram Automall, BikeWale, CarTrade Exchange, Adroit Auto and AutoBiz, delivering technology-enabled solutions across customer, dealership and OEM segments.

Sirohi brings more than 17 years of experience across HR business partnering, change management, talent strategy, employee value proposition, performance management, HR technology transformation and organisational capability building. He joins the company with leadership experience spanning technology, digital marketplaces, healthcare, manufacturing, consulting and renewable energy sectors.

Before joining CarTrade Tech, he served as chief human resources officer, OLX India, where he led the company’s people strategy and organisational transformation agenda.

Earlier, during his nearly five-year tenure at OLX Group, he held senior leadership positions. The experience is expected to be particularly relevant as CarTrade Tech scales operations across multiple automotive and digital commerce businesses.

Prior to OLX, Sirohi briefly served as vice president–HR, Rays Power Infra, where he led HR transformation and workforce strategy initiatives for a workforce of more than 700 employees. He worked closely with company leadership on talent management and organisational priorities.

Earlier in his career, Sirohi spent over six years with BD (Becton Dickinson) in HR leadership roles across business partnering and talent acquisition. He led talent-management initiatives, organisation- design projects, workforce planning and HR- transformation programmes, while also serving as PMO for key HR initiatives including Workday implementation and payroll outsourcing.

His experience additionally includes leadership roles at Escorts and Fresenius Kabi, where he developed expertise in industrial relations, manufacturing HR operations and organisational capability building.
