Anjali Lakra has joined Bombay Suburban Electric Supply (BSES) Delhi as head HR – workforce transformation, bringing more than 18 years of experience across HR strategy, change management, organisational transformation and digitalisation. In her new role, Lakra will lead the organisation’s HR transformation and digitalisation agenda, with a focus on process excellence, HR technology and workforce transformation.
She will also work closely with the leadership team to translate digital-first thinking into people-centric solutions aimed at building a more agile, efficient and adaptive workforce.
Lakra joins BSES Delhi after an 18-year stint with BSES Yamuna Power, where she most recently served as assistant vice president. During her tenure, she worked extensively across performance management and employee engagement and was responsible for recruitment and organisational development. She also handled areas including employee services, HR budgeting and the drafting and implementation of rewards and recognition policies.
Her experience at BSES Yamuna Power also included exposure to HR-legal matters, adding a legal perspective to her HR leadership experience.
Lakra began her career in HR after completing her PGDBM in Human Resources from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. She also holds an LLB degree and has been associated with HR and organisational- development initiatives throughout her career.
Across her career, Lakra has built expertise spanning talent management, employee engagement, HR analytics, organisational development, learning and development, performance management and organisational branding. Her new mandate at BSES Delhi brings these capabilities together with a sharper focus on technology-led HR transformation and workforce agility.
