Wingify has appointed Sahil Sharma as global chief people officer, effective October 2026. He joins the software company after a decade-long stint at RateGain, where he held several senior HR- leadership positions, culminating in his new role.

Sharma brings experience across people strategy, organisational development, performance management, talent acquisition, employer branding and learning. His career spans technology, B2B SaaS, digital media and healthcare services.

At RateGain, Sharma served as group CHRO and Chair of RGForALL from October 2022 to October 2026.

He joined RateGain in 2016 as senior manager – global learning & organisational effectiveness and subsequently took on broader global HR responsibilities, including the role of associate vice president – human resources. During his tenure, his work spanned people and culture leadership as the business grew, with experience in HR transformation, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and IPO journeys.

Before RateGain, Sharma spent four years at IndiaMART InterMESH, where he held roles in strategic HR and learning. From July 2012 to May 2015, he served as manager – learning and capacity development, overseeing learning initiatives across India. He later became senior Manager – strategic human resources, working within the HR Centre of Excellence.

Sharma began his career at Serco in 2009, where he worked in training roles supporting a US healthcare client. He served as process trainer before becoming team leader – training.

Beyond his HR responsibilities, Sharma has also led sales enablement and customer- experience initiatives, bringing a business-oriented perspective to people strategy. He is an advocate of using artificial intelligence to improve HR processes and business performance.

He holds qualifications in business administration and management from Cornell University and human resource management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Sharma is also a member of the Board of Advisors at Chandigarh University, a position he took up in June 2026.

At Wingify, Sharma will lead the company’s global people function, drawing on his experience in building people strategies, developing talent and aligning HR priorities with business growth.
