Samsung’s latest announcement on employee bonuses for 2025 has brought welcome news for thousands across its global workforce, reflecting not just a business rebound but a renewed focus on rewarding employee contribution. After a challenging phase for several core businesses, the company’s performance-linked incentives are set to deliver meaningful financial recognition to employees across key divisions.
Employees in the Device Solutions (DS) division, which includes Samsung’s semiconductor operations, are expected to receive Over Performance Incentives in the range of 43 to 48 per cent of their annual salary. For many employees in this division, the payout represents a significant turnaround from 2023, when losses led to the absence of any annual performance bonus. The steady recovery seen in 2024 and the strong momentum in 2025 have translated into sharply improved rewards, driven by rising global demand for memory products such as DRAM and high-bandwidth memory.
The outlook is equally encouraging for employees in the Mobile eXperience (MX) division. Those working on smartphones and connected devices are likely to receive bonuses at the highest permissible level, up to 50 per cent of annual pay. The payout highlights sustained performance and profitability in Samsung’s mobile business, offering employees a strong incentive-linked reward for a consistent year.
Employees in other divisions will also benefit, though at more moderate levels. Teams in Visual Display and Digital Appliances are expected to receive bonuses between 9 per cent and 12 per cent, while Samsung Display employees may see incentives in the 32 to 36 per cent range. At Samsung Electro-Mechanics, payouts are estimated between 5 and 7 per cent.
In addition to annual incentives, Samsung has confirmed second-half Target Achievement Incentive payouts. Employees in select semiconductor units will receive bonuses equivalent to a full month’s salary, providing further recognition of effort and performance.
For employees across Samsung, the 2025 bonus structure signals stability, recovery and renewed confidence, reinforcing the link between individual contribution, divisional success and shared growth.
