Bharti Airtel has elevated Akanksha Kanojia to the role of head–talent, culture & DEI. In her new position, Kanojia will bring together Airtel’s talent, culture, and DEI priorities under a unified framework. The goal is to ensure these elements actively support business growth, innovation and customer-centricity.

Based in Gurugram, Kanojia will lead the company’s efforts across leadership development, organisational culture, and diversity, equity and inclusion. Her mandate includes building future-ready leadership pipelines, embedding inclusive practices into core people processes, and shaping a high-performance culture aligned with Airtel’s long-term strategy.

Kanojia is a long-serving Airtel leader with more than 13 years at the organisation. Over this period, she has held several critical HR leadership roles spanning business units and corporate functions. Most recently, she headed HR for the DTH and customer experience businesses. In that role, she worked closely with senior leaders to enhance workforce effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and support execution across large, customer-facing teams.

Kanojia first moved to Airtel in 2011 as a young leader. In 2012 she was promoted to lead talent management and development network at Airtel’s North Hub. Across these roles, she played a key role in large-scale people transformations, frontline workforce management, and the design of business-aligned HR strategies. Her work consistently focused on productivity improvement, change management, and leadership capability building.

An alumna of Corrnell University, Kanojia is widely regarded for her sincerity, unwavering commitment, and strong domain expertise. The elevation comes at a time when Airtel is investing heavily in network expansion, digital services and customer experience.
