Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has elevated Manish Shukla to the role of global head HR – corporate and head HR strategy. The appointment reflects the company’s push to strengthen its global people agenda and deepen strategic HR capabilities across its international operations.

In this new role, Shukla will be responsible for shaping and implementing global HR strategies for Dr Reddy’s corporate functions. He will lead learning and development initiatives, including functional academies, to strengthen capabilities across key areas such as finance, HR, digital, process excellence, legal and compliance, corporate affairs, *FMCRE*, and the CXO office.

Shukla will also oversee HR strategy for more than 30 countries, covering over 1,200 on-roll and around 1,000 off-roll employees, focusing on advancing workforce planning and reinforcing organisational effectiveness across markets.

Shukla joined Dr Reddy’s in 2023 as its lead HRBP – global finance, global legal and compliance and FMCRE.

His career spans key leadership roles at several prominent organisations, including ITC, Samsung Electronics and Tata Advanced Systems. Over the years, he has driven large-scale HR transformation, enhanced workforce capability, and partnered closely with senior business leaders to support organisational growth across regions. His experience handling complex, multi-country HR mandates and leading board-level governance frameworks makes him well prepared for this expanded responsibility.

Shukla brings strong credentials in talent development, organisational structure design, performance culture enhancement, and compensation strategy. He has previously implemented several high-impact talent programmes, including campus initiatives and leadership development frameworks aimed at preparing the next generation of business leaders.

An alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, he holds an MBA in HR from the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.

With this elevation, Dr Reddy’s is positioning itself to accelerate capability building and create a more unified HR architecture across its global footprint. Shukla’s blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution is expected to support the company’s continued expansion and strengthen its people-first agenda worldwide.
